Portrait Stories

The purpose of the National Portrait Gallery is "to increase the understanding and appreciation of the Australian people... through portraiture". We love this gallery and are thrilled to be their digital partner. During this partnership we've worked closely with the gallery to help them achieve their purpose.

We've developed Portrait Stories: a beautiful app to allow people to learn more about the portraits in the gallery's collection whether they're visiting the gallery or browsing through the thousands of portraits on their iPad from the comfort of their lounge room.

At Stripy Sock we love apps and we care about the details: the way elements transition between screens, the way collections scroll smoothly, how content loads quickly. But we also care about more than just the app. Sometimes that means letting the app get out of the way to make it easier for people to find the content.
